The Role

This role will work closely with the Operations, IT, Data Science and Risk teams to review, assess and decision loan applications submitted as part of new product experiments.

Team members in this role will be crucial to the ongoing success of Cash Converters Personal Finance (CCPF) – and by extension Cash Converters – as they will engage with customers to understand their needs and how these potential new products will impact them.

Although not a prerequisite, Assessors should have some understanding of the fundamentals of personal finance. For instance, an appreciation of the relationship between the lender (CCPF) and the customer, the risks involved in such a transaction, and how these risks can be mitigated.

We require Assessors to be customer-centric, having an appreciation of the motivation, pressures and demands affecting the customer when they are applying for a loan. Having this understanding will assist the Assessor in delivering compliant, timely outcomes for each customer. CCPF exists to help customers solve problems, and we should look for every opportunity to do so in a compliant and ethical manner.

You will make a difference by

  • Building strong relationships with your team and the wider company
  • Maintaining accurate notes on all customer interactions
  • Treating customers with empathy, respect, and providing a high-quality service standard
  • Being receptive to feedback from the customer and communicate this back to the business
  • Working with each customer to identify how CCPF can meet their needs

Attributes

In addition to our shared Company values, we expect Assessors to demonstrate on an individual level the following personal attributes –

  • Confidence and clarity when discussing the decision made about that customers loan application (especially if it is declined).
  • Courtesy and respect when communicating with customers and colleagues, especially during periods of increased pressure.
  • Professionalism when communicating with customers and colleagues, including during periods of increased pressure.
  • Collaboration and contribution towards shared team goals and outcomes, especially during periods of increased pressure.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, professionally and for CCPF more broadly, there are always opportunities to improve and a good idea can come from anywhere.

What we are looking for

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and build rapport
  • High level of time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
  • Experience with Microsoft suite products
  • High level of numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Highly desirable

  • Certificate IV in Finance
  • Previous finance/personal finance industry experience
  • Previous customer service/contact centre experience
