Position Summary: 

The COVID-vac group is responsible for managing and coordinating the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination to the state of Victoria. Operating as a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, the group will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver an effective and efficient immunisation campaign.

The Senior Funding Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for performance management of the financial and service performance of Vaccination hubs and contribute to the analysis of state-wide performance issues.


  • Provide authoritative advice, guidance and support the Commissioning and Logistics Branch.
  • Analyse financial, performance and service delivery data, liaise with key internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports, briefings, and presentations within tight timeframes.
  • Build effective and trusted relationships with the host health services (and other agencies) for vaccine hubs specifically their procurement and finance teams.
  • Work effectively with key internal services including strong relationships with Health and Wellbeing division and Corporate Finance.
  • Provide oversight and management of the payment system.
  • Troubleshoot, triage and solve complex finance modelling and logistic matters as they arise, mitigating any identified risks and ensuring minimal impact on operational delivery.
  • Assist in identifying and initiating transformative, innovative or continuous improvement activities that enable better streamlined, customer-focused and positive outcomes.
  • Manage end-to-end projects, ranging in size and complexity.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Where responsible for monitoring projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
  • Actively role model and promote the department's values in all aspects of duty.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
