Government and Parliamentary Services (GPS) Advisor

  • $87,640 - $99,438 (Plus Superannuation)

  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

The position of Government and Parliamentary Services (GPS) Advisor forms a part of the Government and Parliamentary Services Unit within Corporate Services Group. The Government and Parliamentary Services Unit is responsible for maintaining the key interfaces between the department, its ministers and the central agencies that coordinate Government's Cabinet and Parliamentary processes, including coordination of support for ministers and the Secretary for the Portfolio Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC). 

  • Support coordination of the department's preparation for Budget and Financial and Performance Outcomes PAEC questionnaire and hearings.
  • Maintain guidelines, procedures and systems for the PAEC process to ensure effective support to the Ministers, the Secretary, the Executive and Groups.
  • Support the Government and Parliamentary Services (GPS) systems (eBriefings, PQ, PPQ and PAEC) and services run reliably, effectively and efficiently
  • Support the implementation of changes, additions and enhancements to GPS systems and services.
  • Contribute to Team and Divisional Projects.
