JOB DESCRIPTION

SENIOR POLICY OFFICER (2 POSITIONS)

  • $101,120 - $122,348(Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term – 3 years
  • Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual work location: Attwood (flexibility may be available)
  • Progress delivery of policy, strategy and initiatives.
  • Undertake advanced policy research and analysis.
  • Initiate, maintain and manage the Department's relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct investigations and research to provide high level authoritative advice.
  • Model collaborative, transparent and supportive leadership.
  • Prepare specialist advice for Ministers and senior executives on Victoria's relationships with priority commodities and key strategic markets, and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in policy development and implementation along with planning, analysing and coordinating the delivery of complex projects while balancing priorities and resources. If you possess a sound understanding and practical knowledge of any of the following areas - food and fibre sector, international trade, market access, and, Victoria's key investment and export drivers, then this could be the position for you.

The position of Senior Policy Officer forms a part of the Agriculture Policy branch within the Agriculture Victoria group.

Agriculture Policydesigns and delivers evidence-based policy and programs, and provides advice to support agriculture industries grow, adapt to risks and respond to new opportunities.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
