This role will support the GM FP&A in providing complete end to end financial ownership for the assigned programs in the strategic plan. This is a high profile role with accountabilities to the CFO, CTO, executive sponsors, program directors, project teams and business units including ePMO and Finance.

The Opportunity
  • Development of robust financial plans in the programs by ensuring alignment to the strategy and the key assumptions
  • Development of business cases including critique and recommendation of key assumptions
  • Financial modelling of key assumptions, including sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Development and tracking of financial benefits
  • Development of multi-horizon program views for 5YP, 1yr budgets, reforecasts
  • Contributing to the execution of program plans and improving financial acumen to ensure achievement of project targets.
  • Assisting the broader CFO divisions (when required)
  • Financial review and management of project commitments for commerciality, compliance and value (eg contract negotiations and amendments, financial due diligence on vendors & program partners)
  • Training and education of financial & project controlling concepts to non-finance staff
  • Financial performance management to deliver relevant, compliant, accurate and timely financial information in an efficient manner
  • Assisting Financial Accounting team to ensure policies are relevant, compliant and accessible, appropriate risk and asset controls, preparation and compliance to financial, tax and other audits (internal/external) as required
  • Ensuring compliance to Group Finance Policies and other applicable corporate and tax legislation (eg Opex/Capex treatment, cost allocations)
  • Preparation and compliance to internal and external financial audits and/or risk reviews
  • Responsible for maintaining the relevant financial controls, including performing routine internal audits and assessment of the control environment.
Great To have
  • 5+ years commercial experience in complex organisations
  • Essential - Professional accounting qualifications (eg Chartered or equivalent)
  • Experience in project partnering roles (IT related projects will be well regarded)
  • Understanding of PMO processes and methodologies (eg agile/waterfall, time/cost/scope etc…)
  • Experience in building financial models underpinning Business Cases
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail and advanced financial modelling
  • Proficient in other tools of trade (MS Powerpoint/Word, ERP, BI, Project software)
Desired
  • Worked in similar relevant industries (eg professional membership, education, IT offerings)
  • Systems experience (Netsuite ERP, Adapative Insights BI, Planview Projects)
  • PMO qualifications, lean / six sigma
