Salary: $85k - $102k plus package depending on experience
About the role:
We are currently organising interviews for a tertiary teaching hospital in Northern Victoria to find rotational Hospital Medical Officers. This hospital provides acute services for many specialities. It has teaching relationships with both Monash and La Trobe University. As a HMO in this hospital you will be participating in the delivery of high quality and efficient care to the population of the local Sunraysia region.
Specialties that you may get rotate through include:
- Medicine
- Surgery
- O&G
- Paediatrics
- Psychiatry
- Emergency medicine
The hospital is based in a beautiful regional city in Northern Victoria. This city borders three states and has its own domestic airport, making travel to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney quick and easy. Known at Victoria's Food Bowl, it is responsible for the majority of grapes and oranges grown in the state. Located on the Murray River, this city is a hub for watersports, paddlesteamers and boat cruises. With regular community events and festivals (including an annual hot air balloon championship), this city will allow you to experience regional Australia at its best.
What you need to be considered:
- A primary medical degree
- Registration or eligibility of registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum 1 year full-time postgraduate employment as a medical practitioner in Australia or similar health care system
- Prior experience in O&G will be looked upon favourably
