About the role:

TES-AMM Australia & New Zealand is looking for a Data Analyst who has true expertise in the E-Waste Industry and PowerBI to drive automation across key areas of the business.

You will work across a broad range of projects with a mandate from the CIO to deliver value-adding transformation and a step-change in quality and availability of pivotal decision-making information.

The role’s other focus will be on the AU/NZ data where you will be supporting the local teams through data analytics. You will help these teams get data and insights on our core metrics, performance, and key drivers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
  • Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for internal/external stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes
  • Contribute to design, implementation, and use of database/cloud storage platforms and visualisation tools for customer data, statistics, and other information for reporting, trending, and troubleshooting.
  • Optimise joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
  • Propose, design, and implement new data collection and pipelines that may be useful for creating better quant trading models
  • Work with internal & external stakeholders to prioritise the needs of the business
  • Developing new Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Design reporting content based on user requirements
  • Do ad hoc data pull, set up scheduled CSVs, build dashboards

What you will need:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in ewaste & recycling industry
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Experienced in working across a matrixed organization
  • Experience developing, and ideally deploying, analytics pipelines and/or software.

What is highly desirable:

  • Proficiency in coding skills using Microsoft SQL, Python, R, and MySQL
  • Competency in data visualisation and data visualisation software such as Power BI\DAX etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools within Microsoft Office 365 is required
