CHEF (ANZSCO : 351311)

FULLTIME

SALARY ON OFFER : $55.000 plus super 

A busy, successful and dynamic restaurant is looking for a highly skilled and qualified Chef with a background in Nutrition and Hospitality.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Kitchen Management 

• Ensure the kitchen meets all Standards and regulations
• Planning of menus on a weekly basis
• Ensuring cost effective food preparation and ordering
• Maintaining a high standard of food preparation and quality dishes at all times
• Be available for on call work in the management of the kitchen
• Deal with client complaints and refer as required.
• Maintain the highest standards of food presentation as required by the company.

Rostering

• Ensure the co-ordination and rostering of staff to meet the needs of company.
• Ensure the co-ordination setup and clean-up of the kitchen.
• Ensure the ordering, quality control and management of stock
• Assist with monthly stock takes

Human Resource Management

• Work with staff to develop as a team
• Provide support to staff
• Participate in company performance management and reviews.

Team Work

• Team work is essential for company and particularly the team. You are responsible to ensure that at all times the staff act as a positive, effective team to ensure the client service needs are meet.

Essential

• A qualification as a Chef
• A background in nutrition and hospitality
• At least 2-3 years of on the job working experience
• A willingness to work within a team as well as independently
• Be competent and friendly and put our staff and customers first.
