JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, one of Australia's leading hospitality and restaurant groups, is currently on the lookout for an experienced Sous Chef to join their Brisbane restaurant. Conveniently located in the heart of the city centre, you will report to the Head Chef and guide a team of fellow passionate and driven chefs. With great opportunities for career progression, this role with one of the country's leading restaurant brands will be snapped up fast.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working alongside the Head Chef, you will excel at working in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment, with previous experience working in Italian restaurants or with Italian Cuisine. Some of your day-to-day duties will include the management of operations, kitchen staff, budgets and other kitchen administration. On top of this, you will have a passion for leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to creating truly memorable and delicious dining experiences.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Min. 2 years' Kitchen Management experience
- Min. Cert III Commercial Cookery Qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience running a team of kitchen staff
- Able to effectively manage kitchen costs/budgets
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster
- Working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S

THE PACKAGE:

A salary of $60-65k + super will be available for the right candidate, in addition to some generous staff discounts and other company benefits.
