Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
? Organise and direct the Project site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities
? Obtain soil and rock samples at different depths across sites and testing samples to determine strength, compressibility and other factors that affect the behaviour of soil and rock when a structure is imposed and determining the safe loading for the soil
? Study architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control
? Monitor changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
? Analyse structural systems for both static and dynamic loads
? Design structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways
? Assess present and future travel flow patterns taking into account population increase and needs change
? Prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for geotechnical schemes
? Perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site condition and perform field and environmental investigations
? Carry out geotechnical studies to deliver the outcomes to the program and budget agreed
? Carry out geotechnical designs to the Project structures schemes to deliver the outcomes agreed to program and budgets
? To provide geotechnical advice for the other schemes and design and construction activities on an ongoing base and the Project life cycle
? Professional and Technical Excellence in geotechnical engineering
? To report to the Geotechnical Manager on a regular basis on performance against budget and program

• Diploma in Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering, Geotechnical or Geological
• Tertiary (Bachelor) qualification in Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering, Geotechnical or Geological
• Up to 5 years in technical management roles on significant projects
• Multi-discipline project experience desirable in Building, Construction, Design
• Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities
• Knowledge and Capability of design and architectural systems
• Skill in company or business wide level of design planning, development and review of management system
• Deal with new equipment, updated safety regulations and other factors
