St Mark's Malabar is an evangelical Christian church in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Our mission is to see "Every person made new in Christ, mature in Christ, making Christ known".

We are a multicultural church committed to reaching people for Christ and are active in our local community (specifically focusing on the people of Malabar, Matraville, Chifley, Little Bay and La Perouse). About the role

We are seeking a godly Christian person who is able to lead and develop a team of church members to teach kids the gospel message and grow young disciples of Christ. The role is permanent part-time, ideally for 4 days per week (Wednesday to Friday and Sunday) but the number of days is negotiable.

The main areas of responsibility are:-

• Leading and developing our 10.30am Sunday Kid’s Church, including our Leaders in Training program for teens.
• Leading a team of SRE teachers and teaching SRE in local public schools (Malabar, Matraville Soldiers Settlement, Chifley and La Perouse).
• Developing relationships with children and their parents so that the gospel impacts the lives of whole families.
• Initiating and developing new ways of reaching children for Christ in our local area (e.g. midweek kids groups and holiday clubs).

The specific responsibilities of the role are negotiable depending on the skills and passions of the successful applicant. We operate in a team ministry environment and both training and opportunities for growth and development are available. Applicants must have completed (or be completing) a certificate, diploma or degree in Theology and have experience in ministering to children and leading teams.

A remuneration package in line with the Anglican Diocese of Sydney’s guidelines will be tailored to suit the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
