Strategy Manager

Role Purpose

To assist in the development of appropriate strategic priorities and initiatives to deliver on the 2025 strategic plan, including critical supporting projects. The role will drive medium and short-term planning and will monitor and manage progress against the plan in a way that supports delivery against targets.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Strategy, this role also has responsibility for championing the annual planning processes and coordinating any supporting research required to deliver on the plans. 

Key Accountabilities

Implementation against 2025 plan

  • Work collaboratively with business leads to develop and track action plans, milestones and appropriate success measures.
  • Monitor and report on progress of projects and targets against plan.
  • Identify and escalate any issues around implementation of the plan that will impact forecast and partner with senior management to develop mitigations.
  • Identify dependencies and interdependencies between business units, projects and annual plans to support an optimised approach
  • Coordinate research that supports business unit and RSLQ strategic outcomes, working with the subject matter experts across RSLQ
  • Develop presentations for stakeholder groups as appropriate
  • Define Portfolio roadmaps and high-level work packages to allow the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to execute successfully
  • Working with the commercial team, own Business case formulation for the relevant projects including scope, benefits realisation (both commercial and intangible) including performance indicator setting (KRAs, KPIs) and capability assessments

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualification with major in Commerce
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role dealing with stakeholders at all levels, including GM & CXX suite
  • Demonstrable experience developing business strategies and plans and overseeing their successful implementation
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and inspire 
  • Ability to deliver tangible results in complex project environments 
  • Experience in a large scale B2C environment is highly regarded
