JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a reputable, global company seeking an experienced Human Resource Specialist to join their Human Resource team. As a member of the HR team, you'll help create a culture that enables people to produce their best work every day. A solid HR background and good communication skills are pivotal in being successful for this role. Your current skills and experience will be an asset in this role as you interact with a diverse group of management, salaried and hourly employees to answer HR related questions and resolve issues whilst complying with company and legal policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • End to end recruitment
  • Leading new employee on boarding programs
  • Managing exit process for departing employees
  • Collaborating with regional and corporate HR
  • Interacting with and counselling all levels of management, salaried and hourly employees to assist and resolve a wide variety of people, wage and employment related issues
  • Labour hire management
  • Maintaining internal systems to ensure data accuracy
  • Partnering with Facility Management, Corporate HR, Service Centres, Compensation + Benefits and Payroll teams to assist in the administration and support of employee issues
To be successful in the position you will possess the following:
  • Tertiary qualification related to HR or equivalent
  • At least 5 years HR job-related experience, preferably within a global organisation and/or a blue collar environment environment
  • Knowledge of various areas of HR including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, compensation and company policies and procedures
  • Exceptional communications skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of department
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously with support from regional team
  • Australian Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency required
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday (0830-1630) and requires a committed individual with a 'can-do' attitude and the aptitude to work autonomously. The successful applicant will bring a strong work ethic and exemplary HR experience to a busy environment.
