Our Development Assessment team offers an inspiring environment to grow and develop as a professional Development Assessment Planner. The environment is high performing, friendly and fun.

The complexity and diversity of the Inner West LGA offers huge scope of experience for planners and exposure to complex and large projects.

If you join us you will assess plans from industry leading architects and work on challenging and interesting projects such as industrial conversions, mixed use developments, heritage conservation areas, foreshore and habitat areas, the Parramatta Road corridor urban transformation strategy and emerging sustainable development programmes.

As the Senior Planner, you will mentor and develop junior planners, have opportunities to attend the land and environment court and exercise delegations.

Salary

$94,887.52 p.a. to $108,512.04 p.a. + Super

Access to an Inner West Council motor vehicle lease back scheme or car allowance

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications * Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.

  • Extensive experience in development assessment in local government particularly in NSW and the social, political, legal and regulatory frameworks in which it operates.
  • Excellent knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act and related planning legislation and concepts as they relate to
  • NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
