The Consultant, HepatoPancreatoBiliary/Liver takes part in inpatient and outpatient care, quality assurance, teaching and research in Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary (HPB) and General Surgery in particular at FMC, and elsewhere as specified by the Unit Head (FMC), Head of General & Digestive Surgery and the Director, Surgical and Perioperative Medical Services.

Demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal. The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team in a multi-disciplinary setting. Proven skills to enable work in the Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery.

Appropriate specialist qualifications for Consultant/Senior registrable as a specialist in General Surgery with the Medical Board of South Australia .

At least 2 years of post-fellowship training and work in HepatoPancreatoBiliary and Transplant surgery and successful completion of the subspecialty examination (ANZHPBA).
