  • Possess mature and seasoned news judgement to help navigate story pitches from the staff and prioritise the most important issues
  • Manage a 7-day roster to ensure the biggest news moments are appropriately staffed
  • Edit and curate the SkyNews.com.au homepage with the best performing content
  • Use WordPress CMS to build stories, assign them to appropriate sections and liaise with social media teams
  • Identify newsworthy opinion and interview content from our television channels and ensure this is delivered to our online audience quickly and accurately into the news cycle
  • Understand what content works for which platforms and target content specifically for Digital platforms
Your experience and capability
  • Experience in a busy newsroom is ideal and management experience is preferred
  • Ability to navigate complicated political discussions
  • A positive attitude with enthusiasm for sharing ideas and learning new skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
