About the Department

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.

The Opportunity

The Aboriginal Practice team currently have an opportunity for a Policy and Project Officer to join their team!

In this role, the successful applicant will contribute to the development of strategic directions and the improvement in service outcomes and evidenced based policies for the Aboriginal Practice Directorate.

About you

We are looking for a strong communicator with demonstrated knowledge of issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities particularly relating to child protection services.

The successful applicant will have organisational and time management skills with experience in planning, developing and implementing projects, aimed at meeting the needs of Aboriginal clients.
