Clinical Project Coordinator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Project Manager and Head of Product to support the initiation, management, and effective closure of critical projects in a fast-moving medical device start-up. With organisation and prioritisation skills, this candidate will organise the necessary pieces to ensure project success. 


  • With appropriate scientific oversight and support, managing the development of key documents to support Nutromics’ clinical research program – including trial protocols and consent forms
  • Supporting the day-to-day management of work packages in product development projects, from the discovery stage all the way through to initiation and delivery
  • Setting up a process to identify and screen potential opportunities for non-dilutive funding (e.g., grants)
  • Leading small projects to draft and submit grant applications for key business projects
  • Actively identifying, monitoring, and escalating risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Identifying and resolving project schedule issues and where necessary escalating to the appropriate level of management
  • Providing advice and support to the project stream leaders on undertaking tasks, tracking progress, implementing project plans, tracking deliverables and their expected milestones
  • Ensuring timely completion of deliverables from internal resources and external suppliers with the required level of quality


  • Degree-level qualification in health, science, IT, or engineering
  • 2+ years as a Project Officer/Coordinator
  • CAPM or PRINCE2 certification – or equivalent

Skills and experience

  • Experience in the healthcare sector will be highly regarded
  • Experience with drafting clinical trial documentation will be highly regarded
  • Experience with drafting grant applications will be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with pre-market clinical studies in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Hands-on experience with appropriate project management software tools facilitating collaboration and effective communication
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic and highly flexible team
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects and work packages effectively
  • Willingness to work on a varied set of activities and learn on-the-fly
  • Hands-on experience with business analysis techniques (e.g., requirements elicitation)
