Our Melbourne CBD-based Energy and Sustainability Services business is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Procurement Analyst (Energy PPA procurement) to join us in sourcing and negotiating energy renewables contracts for some of our largest customers. Internally we refer to this position as our Cleantech Services Senior Specialist.

This role is one that leads and partners with clients in implementing sustainable energy strategies and solutions. You will provide our Cleantech energy sustainability offer to clients, with a tactical lens applied across a broad spectrum of opportunities.

This includes close collaboration and teamwork with client account managers and global colleagues, as well as direct client interaction via the presentation of strategies and analysis to support our client’s ambitions for net zero carbon emissions. Essentially, we want you to be our renewable energy SME!

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to;

  • Develop and maintain top level renewable market expertise including leading-edge concepts and industry advancements. Special focus and emphasis on the East Asia and Japan (EAJ) global region.
  • Administer various initiatives such as renewable energy strategy development, on-site and off-site renewable generation offer solicitation, analysis, negotiation, and final implementation, as well as similar initiatives related to clean technology.
  • Research, filter, warehouse and communicate emerging information and trends relating to global sustainability and clean technology initiatives such as environmental and carbon legislation, renewable and efficiency incentives, vendor advancements, and energy technology evolution.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of clean and renewable technology opportunities including solicitation of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and in-depth proposal review of alternative clean technology options for client review and implementation
  • Administer, coordinate, and perform tasks required for monetisation and optimization of Environmental Attribute Certificate (EAC) sales to market counterparties in accordance with client renewable energy program strategy.
  • Provide guidance, analysis, and contract negotiation for EAC (energy attribute certificate) purchases in accordance with client goals and strategies
