The Role: Environmental Compliance Advisor (Narrabri, NSW)
An outstanding opportunity has become available for an Environmental Compliance Advisor at the Narrabri Mine. The Environmental Compliance Advisor is required to provide environmental support to the Narrabri mining operation in line with the company's environmental management plans and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Manage the CMO compliance software system for NCO and raise any non-conformances with the Environment Superintendent.
  • Responsible for Document Control of environmental management plans and associated standards.
  • Coordinate site environmental risk assessments and audits.
  • Provide support to the operation in optimising environmental outcomes, promoting environmental awareness and ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors to ensure completion of field monitoring requirements, timely submission of reports and completion of other general environmental activities.
  • Play an integral role in the improvement of the site geographical information systems (GIS) to streamline the capture of environmental monitoring records and form an integrated link with environmental compliance obligations.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or equivalent
  • Experience in environmental management
  • Experience in the mining industry
  • Knowledge of the NSW environmental legislation and statutory requirements
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suite and ArcGIS (additional training will be offered)
