About the Role

Our Operational Risk and Compliance team are instrumental to Youi doing the right thing by our customers, as well as supporting Youi’s growth as we enter into a new chapter of business maturity. This is an exciting new role sitting within ‘first line’ risk and compliance, responsible for monitoring and reviewing all risk incidents that occur to ensure issues are rectified and facilitating any remediation required. Reporting into the Risk Manager – Operations, this role works closely with a variety of business stakeholders including the leadership team in Operations, as well as second-line risk, legal and compliance peers to identify remediation requirements and facilitate the reporting of regulatory matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain regulatory compliance across operations in line with recommendations from 2nd line risk, legal and compliance
  • Identify, interpret and resolve Regulatory Issues
  • Liaise with IT and operational project managers to remediate stakeholder issues and process issues
  • Maintain, review and update existing regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor the ongoing risk incidents and actioning in line with required compliance
  • Develop escalation procedures for notification and resolution of risk incidents
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting a strong risk culture

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in risk and or compliance related disciplines desirable
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a risk/compliance related discipline preferred
  • Financial services (insurance, banking, or superannuation) industry experience preferred as well as working knowledge of regulatory and remediation frameworks
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and MS Excel skills
  • Stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
  • An eagle eye for detail as well as a passion for improving processes and procedures
