A progressive and well-established Mid-Tier firm in Hobart is looking for a Senior Accountant that wants to expand their career in an accounting practice, where they will provide value-added accounting services such as management reporting, financial analysis, and comprehensive accounting solutions whilst building strong rapports with their clients. Your role would include these responsibilities:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of accountants and training them on latest technical standards
  • Working with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally to get outcomes for your clients.
  • Be involved with the preparation and lodgement of tax returns and financial accounts for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF’s
  • Prepare and review a large variety of tax returns including monthly and quarterly BAS and FBT returns while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
  • Analyse financial data including income and expenditure and discuss the financial health of the business with the business owners
  • Help clients in framing their budgetary allocations and tax and accounting strategies
Ideally you will be or have:
  • Already graduated and completed/completing your CA/CPA qualification
  • Previous Australian experience (min 5+ years) in a similar role, preferably within Public Practice
  • Experience managing a team and reviewing work
  • Need to be experienced business services people (PSI, DIV7A, DNCL, FBT etc) and able to work autonomously whilst managing a team
  • Great client relationship experience, and well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to look after clients and deliver exceptional service!
