We are seeking a proactive, motivated and reliable Administrative Assistant to work with a high performing team and provide administrative and support services in the delivery of the NSW Leadership Academy.

The NSW Leadership Academy delivers a suite of blended learning programs specifically designed for current and emerging leaders across the NSW public sector. Key to providing consistent, high quality service is building and delivering world class. This is where you come in.

In this role, it is desirable that you have experience working in a learning and development environment. You will provide business support, manage and respond to enquiries, draft correspondence, coordinate meetings, draft agendas and minutes and assist with various computer-based systems.

As an Administrative Assistant your impact will be seen by:

  • Delivering accurate and multiple administrative support activities and services to agreed standards, timeframes and milestones, and always finding ways to improve administrative processes
  • Keeping accurate and timely records management of Leadership Academy documentation
  • Being a point of contact, documenting, tracking and filing team queries
  • Maintaining updated and accurate notes, minutes and agendas for meetings and researching and organising administrative items in the successful delivery of the Leadership Academy programs
  • Working autonomously and collaboratively in a high-pressure team environment
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and
  • Assisting team members with computer-based systems such as MS office, data entry into excel, and records management.

About the Public Service Commission

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is headed by an independent Public Service Commissioner and is a separate agency under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) that supports the Commissioner in the exercise of her functions and powers.

The PSC leads the design, development and implementation of the full range of workforce management strategies - including workforce capability, recruitment and assessment, performance management, and strategic workforce planning - to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the NSW public sector workforce.
