An exciting opportunity exists for an Enrolled Nurse with a strong interest in Community Nursing and commitment to patient care to join the very experienced and dedicated North Ryde Team. We are based at the Macquarie Hospital and visit patients in their homes in the Ryde and Hunters Hill area.

What you'll be doing

The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.
 
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
 

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  3. Recent significant experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  5. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Current NSW drivers licence.
