Same Day-Day of Surgery (SD DOS) & Same Day Impatient Bed (SCIPB)

About the role:
John Hunter Hospital is seeking a dependable and experienced Registered Nurse to provide safe compassionate person centred care within the Same Day - Day of Surgery (SD DOS) Unit and the Same Day Impatient Bed (SDIPB) Unit. You will ensure safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and our dedicated multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. Our current roster is 7 days up unitl June 2021, from there will move to a 5 day roster. In this role you will be provided with on-site orientation and ongoing education support from SDDOS educator and the team to support your development.

About you: 
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise. You will be experienced in surgical nursing and have the ability to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care. You will be a critical thinker and be able to apply professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care. You will also have demonstrated extensive and recent surgical nursing experience.
