Western Local Land Services are seeking a proactive, hands-on Senior Land Services Officer (NRM Projects) to identify and manage a variety of priority landscapes and threatened species projects and programs throughout the region.

Part of a varied and dynamic regionally dispersed team you’ll engage with landholders to lead and deliver on-ground priority projects, as well as work with the broader NRM team to identify new project opportunities. You’ll also be responsible for supervising staff as and when required.

About You:
Ideally, you’ll have a degree in agriculture, environmental science or natural resource management. If not, you’ll have an equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience.

You’ll also have a passion for natural resource management, the ability to work closely with and understand the needs of both landowners and community groups and be able to balance conflicting goals and deadlines. Knowledge of landscapes and threatened species would also be ideal.

You’ll be self-motivated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a positive and solution-focused attitude with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems for both yourself and others as they arise.

Demonstrated project management experience combined with proven relationship management and partnership development experience is also required. Experience in working with landholders is essential.

As an essential requirement of the role, you’ll also need to have a current NSW Driver Licence, and the capacity and willingness to travel throughout Western NSW as required.

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake a functional health assessment as part of their pre-employment conditions before an offer on employment can be made.

How to apply:
