About the roleThe Marketing and Communications Officer assists with the coordination and implementation of the North Regional TAFE's marketing, promotion and communications functions, and also provides assistance with the college's strategic marketing plans, corporate events, promotional activities and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator to implement advertising and promotional marketing strategies including preparing, placing and archiving advertisements.
  • Prepares and coordinates the production of college publications; prepares flyers, invitations, documents and brochures.
  • Assists in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of an annual promotions and events calendar, web pages, social media and other online promotions.
  • Assists with organising and coordinating the college's corporate events, including career expos and student awards nights, under the direction of the Communications Coordinator.
  • Provides a graphic design service including advice and support for the college's marketing and communications unit.
  • Manages the graphic design archive.
  • Produces graphic materials as well as design work for traditional print, electronic and online media.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
  1. Demonstrated experience in marketing, promotion and communications activities.
  2. Demonstrated skills and experience in content and graphic development for traditional print, electronic and online media.
  3. Well-developed organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  4. Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
