About The Role

Uber Eats has led the rapid growth of online food delivery in Australia and New Zealand but we’re nowhere near our goal of making eating effortless for everyone.

The Consumer Operations team is responsible for driving user growth and engagement for the Uber Eats business. As the online food delivery category grows this team is constantly finding ways to improve customer experience, differentiate our offering and meet new consumer needs through the Uber Eats app.

This team partners with other verticals (Restaurant, Marketing, Delivery Partner, Product) to enhance our consumer value proposition. Consumer Operations is responsible for the majority of our eater incentive spend, our competitive insights and strategy as well as the launch and growth of our loyalty products.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for leading projects that aim to grow Uber Eats in ANZ by increasing user engagement and retention. This could include developing go to market strategies for new products/offerings, targeted initiatives to grow a particular consumer segment and/or expanding our customer loyalty programs.

You will use consumer insights to help to set the strategy and work with team members in the Restaurants, Marketing and Marketplace teams to execute initiatives and bring the strategy to life. You will have end-to-end ownership of key projects including data analysis, solution design and execution.

A Typical Week Would Include

  • Perform complex analysis and identify insights to identify the biggest growth opportunities for Uber Eats
  • Prioritise initiatives and develop go-to-market strategies for new growth bets
  • Understand consumer needs and pain points and help address them through our product/offering
  • Understand our competitive risks and opportunities and help develop our competitive strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Marketing and Restaurants)
  • Identify improvement and growth opportunities in consumer strategy and work with the team to execute on them
  • Present to senior stakeholders on key consumer metrics/key results
  • Project management of multiple growth initiatives
What You'll Need:
  • 2+ years experience in strategy consulting, digital marketplaces, start up or analytical roles
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to bring data and frameworks to solve complex problems
  • Curiosity, desire to understand data trends, diagnose root causes and develop practical solutions
  • Consumer centricity and empathy, exposure to consumer businesses a bonus
  • Hands on analytical skills, advanced sheets/excel modelling and basic SQL (or willingness to learn)
  • Partner management, able to communicate effectively with senior partners and work collaboratively with team members from different backgrounds
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, balancing short and long term objectives
