Salary Range: AUD $1,246.70 per week

Work type: Permanent Full-time. Night shift Monday to Thursday, 7pm – 4.30am.

Traffic Network Services (TNS) is responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic signals, intelligent transport systems, including traffic CCTV, variable message signs (VMS), the fibre optic cabling and data network to support the traffic signals and ITS devices throughout Brisbane.

TNS is currently recruiting a licenced Electrician with traffic signals experience to assist in the delivery of quality services to residents of Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to expand your knowledge in CCTV, network communications and fibre optic areas. The Traffic Signal Technician undertakes electrical maintenance and construction works that include installation, fault finding and testing on traffic signals and allied areas.

To be successful you will have:


  • demonstrated experience in fault finding, diagnosis and repairs in traffic signals electrical works
  • working knowledge of industry standards including MUTCD, WH&S, Electrical Safety and Electrical Wiring rules
  • experience in interpreting instructions and engineering drawings
  • experience working safely from ladders, heights and confined spaces
  • good communication and interpersonal skills.


Mandatory for this role: 


  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
  • Electrical Workers Licence
  • current open C Class driver’s licence.


Desirable for this role:


  • Elevated Work Platform ticket of 11 metres or greater
  • open MR class driver’s licence.
