Barstow's Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement unit is seeking a Communications Officer to join our busy, collaborative team.

We build awareness of Bastow's work, and make it accessible to our audiences so that they engage - whether that be by registering for professional learning, attending an event, sharing information with a colleague, re-tweeting, clicking on a link, listening to a podcast.

The Communications Officer is primarily responsible for developing and delivering engaging and purposeful cross-platform communications for a portfolio of Bastow professional learning and initiatives, including events and conferences. You will work closely with subject matter experts across and beyond Bastow, and colleagues in the Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement team, to ensure consistency and accuracy in brand and messaging, while supporting broader organisational objectives.

You will also coordinate and manage the end-to-end delivery of events, working closely with Department staff and external providers to execute the events calendar while ensuring the learning needs of participants are met.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • experience producing high-quality and impactful marketing and communication products for a variety of audiences and platforms
  • excellent verbal and written communications skills, with strong attention to detail
  • ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • knowledge and experience in event management
  • initiative and drive, with the capacity to manage multiple projects.

For more details on this role please see the position description.
