JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Of Duties

As the Leader of the Mining and Radiation Team, you will oversee a team of specialists administering legislation to protect the environment and the health and safety of people from the impacts of mining and resource industry activities including from the harmful effects of radiation. You will apply your mining knowledge and your high-level communication skills to establish effective working relationships and provide authoritative advice to industry, government and community. You will ensure mining and resource sector operators and users of radiation undertake activities safely and in accordance with the South Australia Legislation and National and International Standards.

Special Conditions

  • The occupant must be eligible to work in Australia
  • The EPA has a no smoking policy
  • The EPA is an equal opportunities employer
  • The occupant may be required to travel to sites in remote areas, and work outside of normal working hours as the need arises
  • A current driver's license is an advantage
  • The occupant must consent to undergoing a National Crime check

The EPA supports and actively encourages flexible working arrangements to ensure its staff to effectively balance work and life. Such arrangements may be negotiated with the Branch Manager

Essential Qualifications

A degree in mining, science or engineering or another related discipline.

Renumeration

PO4 ($104,296 - $113,505 per annum)
