Manage the entire VIC state across sales, operations and construction suites for an award winning custom builder

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
HIA award-winning custom home builder with displays in the North, West, and soon to be South-East, and southwest coast regions. This business prides itself on delivering quality to customers and ensuring a great company culture is lived up. They offer a vast range of options - house & land (standard and custom variations) / KDRB and town-home developments. They offer a diverse range of house designs with upfront pricing, high-end inclusions, and quality building materials. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for their next VIC General Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Managing Director - The GM will play a vital role in leading the state team across sales / estimating / drafting and construction suites

  • Manage the entire state P&L across all suites from sales/operations and build/construction
  • Set and create quarterly and annual budgets
  • Liaise and support interstate internal stakeholder teams
  • Deliver performance and budgeting reports across all disciplines of the workflow from pre-sales to maintenance phases
  • Develop and negotiate existing contractor/supplier relationships
  • Ensure adherence to WHS policies, procedures & workflow is maintained to company standards
  • Ensure processes and systems are followed, update processes when required to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Develop and roll out coaching plans, and deliver annual performance reviews for teams
  • Monitor customer feedback regularly, and provide updates back to teams when needed
  • Continue to promote a culture of high performance and positive morale
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • 2+ years senior experience in a role leading team managers within a local builder in either operations, customer service, business development/sales, or construction
  • Track record leading teams to successful outcomes
  • 5+ years of work experience across the local VIC market
  • Exceptional financial acumen and strategic planning skills
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with relevant homebuilding software systems
  • Relevant tertiary education across the construction
