Join our Business Services (BSC) team as an Accounts Payable Administrator, where we pride ourselves on being a friendly and efficient team who empowers individuals to develop and propel their careers forward.

The BSC team is an integral part of the Downer business and is responsible for managing multi-functional payroll, finance and accounting procedures for our operational teams across the country. We coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll, and a multitude of accounting tasks focused on creating efficient and effective processes and solutions for the daily running of the business.

About the role
Reporting to the BSC Manager, you will work closely with the Accounts Payable team and will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. We work to meet multiple deadlines to ensure our stakeholders are happy and our service level agreements are achieved. Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Processing invoices for payment, supplier statements and reconciliations through our automated document management system
  • Managing the BSC teams shared inboxes and responding to queries
  • Maintaining data integrity
  • Supporting the wider team and leader with various tasks and reporting
  • Training for personal development and upskilling

  • A Bachelor Degree in Commerce or Accounting is beneficial
