Student Enrichment and Employability Development

Student Enrichment and Employability Development (SEED) is part of the Student Affairs Division, which also comprises the Health Service and Student Services.

SEED is custodian of the UQ Student Employability Strategy, and coordinates and promotes the distinctive features of the UQ student experience including the Employability Award, internships, global mobility, student-staff partnerships, summer and winter research experiences, and provides supports to enable students to translate, articulate and transfer these experiences into the workplace.

About This Opportunity

Supporting UQ’s Employability Framework, this position will design, delivery and facilitate educational employability activities (including workshops and presentations), and resources to support prospective students, students (undergraduate and postgraduate taught) and alumni in unpacking and reflecting upon their employability development.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal applicant for this position will have experience in designing and facilitating educational and interactive workshops to meet a range of client needs and expectations.

Applicants should possess a degree or diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or a certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

The ideal applicant will have an understanding of learning design principles and pedagogies and have a focus on nurturing student learning.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position at HEW level 6

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,784 - $86,768, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $94,517 - $101,519.
