JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking experienced APS6 Sourcing Specialists to join their team based in Robina. These positions are working on temporary assignments until July 2022.

The Role:
The Partner Contracts Branch manages the sourcing of new Partners, contract management for Partners and reviews contract terms and conditions to ensure they align with policy and legal requirements. The Partner Sourcing Team is responsible for the initiation, planning and sourcing strategy.

Responsibilities:

In addition, duties will include:


  • Delivering sourcing projects within the forward sourcing program for the Partners In The Community Sourcing (PITC) program
  • Supporting ongoing reviews and improvements to sourcing processes and systems
  • Assisting with implementing continuous improvement activities and adopting best practice sourcing methods
  • Supporting the team to improve and develop better statements of requirements, structured negotiation practices and techniques
  • Forming evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for establishing Partner contracts at an implementation level
  • Supporting evaluation and negotiation teams and processes for establishing Partner contracts at an implementation level
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate governance and compliance through maintaining corporate governance, compliance and audit and risk management processes
  • Implementing appropriate controls, undertaking issues resolution, maintaining process disciplines and management systems necessary to track and achieve desired outcomes
About you:
This role requires extensive experience in procurement and sourcing methodologies, and application of them within Commonwealth legislative environments. The Sourcing Officer will possess a continuous improvement mind-set, a strong leadership and accountability attitude, the ability to meet challenging deadlines, and a drive to improve the work of their team and the culture across the Branch.
In order to be considered, candidates must also be able to demonstrate:


  • Experience in delivering projects within a legislative environment
  • Extensive experience in contract management and procurement activities within commonwealth
  • Relevant business, accounting, Legal or commerce degree qualification is desirable
  • Ability to provide a mentor role within the team.
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel and engage stakeholders throughout the Agency network.
