Searson Buck are proud to be partnering with Cripps Nubake in their search for a self-motivated and passionate individual who can work together with the maintenance and commissioning team at the Glenorchy site.

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role of maintenance fitter must have a practical understanding of production and manufacturing at a food grade level, have a problem-solving mindset and be prepared to engage in all steps of the preventative, plant and building maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance of routine maintenance on factory equipment.
  • Assisting the maintenance manager in the preparation of effective mechanical, preventative and breakdown maintenance planning.
  • Assisting with installations and commissioning of systems across the Glenorchy site.
  • Fault-finding and diagnosing on a whole range of maintenance issues.
  • Delivering continuous improvement to ensure optimal effectiveness.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Trade Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Fitting and Machining).
  • Current driver's licence and forklift licence.
  • Previous experience in computer applications (i.e., word, Excel, MP2).
  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and chain driven machinery is essential.
  • A working knowledge of packaging machinery used in food manufacturing would be highly desirable.
