Based in our Support Centre in Murarrie, Brisbane, and part of our eCommerce team is a new opportunity for a curious and data driven Customer Analytics Specialist at Michael Hill.

This hands-on role will be responsible for delivering data-driven, actionable insights to solve customer journey challenges and optimise commercial opportunities. This is a collaborative opportunity, working cross functionally across teams to design and implement test and learn strategies, while providing ongoing and ad-hoc reporting.

Surface, transform and distil web and commercial datasets into actionable insights and visualizations for the eCommerce team and its interdependent departments.
Identify, interpret and analyse data using linking and statistical techniques to address business opportunities, including the identification of trends and/or patterns in data sets, and to create inference or insights
Providing strategic analytical and support to teams to deliver results for both sales and marketing utilising internal sales data, syndicated data and customer data
Identify and action work flow automation initiatives to improve data sharing fluidity
Communicate laterally across the organization to ensure data capturing requirements are clearly identified and apply data validation techniques
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and an up to date repository
Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

More about you:
Strong skills with SQL, including querying, manipulating and merging data across multiple sources
Experience working with a technical toolkit including (or similar) Google Analytics, SQL, PowerBI and Excel
Experience in identifying, understanding, and seeking opportunities to develop and deliver proactive analytics & reports that inform decision making.
Investigate and interrogate existing business data to find correlations, merge insights and build datasets for reporting.
Experience with BI dashboarding/reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau/Data Studio or similar)
Excellent analytical and technical skills in SQL and ideally Power BI (or similar) as well as modelling techniques to query and manipulate data from multiple sources
Demonstrated stakeholder management and communications skills with the ability to translate your insights into simple to understand business language
Experience analyzing omnichannel user behaviour, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis and multi-channel attribution is very beneficial
Strong commercial acumen
Hold a relevant Tertiary qualification
