The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Operations Analyst to join QIC’s Global State Investments team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Portfolio Operations Manager, this position will be focussed on the delivery of portfolio operations within the State Investments division.
In this career defining role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the delivery of reports and presentations to key stakeholders including management & clients.
  • Supporting State Investments in the delivery of portfolio analytics to support investment decisions and client deliverables.
  • Supporting the oversight of State Investments data management.
  • Contributing to information requirements from QIC’s internal performance and accounting teams.
  • Supporting the operationalisation of investment initiatives with a focus on execution excellence and risk management.

About you
You will have some knowledge and understanding of financial markets and graduate level qualifications in economics, finance, commerce, actuarial or another relevant field. You will also have the following attributes:

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft office.
  • An operational mindset with a focus on execution excellence and risk management.
  • An understanding of investments and investment structures.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently (with minimal direction) and as a productive member of a team.
  • Self-motivated and a strong desire to develop and grow.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
