Full Job Description
The Department of Energy and Public Works is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to develop and provide strategic financial and economic advice and commentary including monitoring and analysis across a range of department-wide policy options and activities.

As the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), you will be required to develop and ensure a future leading practice within a financial and commercial environment for the Department of Energy and Public Works. The role provides appropriate and effective strategies, policies, systems and risk management controls to facilitate the achievement of business objectives and to meet statutory and regulatory obligations. The CFO provides independent advice to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Board of Management on a broad range of funding, investment, financial assurance and project governance matters.

As an executive, performance will be assessed against four key accountability perspectives: organisational financial management, whole-of-government leadership and collaboration, organisational priorities, and organisational leadership and culture.
