The Sydney Branch is seeking an Operations Manager, Specialty Services for the Residential, Pre Construction, Pre Purchase and Birds divisions operating out of the Lidcombe offices and reporting to the Branch Manager

The successful candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic with a can do attitude, looking for a role with a challenge, where integrity and drive for leading people will be key to your success. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to lead the service delivery with our Technicians, LSM’s, Customers and internal stakeholders at a local level. Safety will be your highest priority followed by delivering the best service, at the lowest possible cost, with our values of Service, Relationships and Teamwork being the core focus of this role. The Operations Manager will drive team engagement resulting in strong teams, staff retention and consistent service delivery.

The role

This new role will be currently responsible for 24 technicians, conducting some of our most high risk services, across the Greater Sydney Region, however our business is currently in a growth phase and we have ambitions to grow the team. The Operations Manager – Specialty Services will also manage relationships with key internal stakeholders that are crucial to the team's success, such as the Customer Service Manager’s, Sales Executives, SHE BP (Safety & Compliance) and HR BP. The Operations Manager – Specialty Services is a senior leader within the Sydney business, managing a high performing team whose success is essential to the success of the overall branch.

The purpose of this position is to

  • Safety of our people, state of service, quality of service, planning and productivity, people engagement, recruitment, retention and development are key outputs, coupled with the ability to control and manage a profit and loss account, a fleet of vehicles, and stock.
  • Lead and manage service delivery with our Technicians, Local Service Managers, Customers and internal stakeholders at a local level.
  • Delivering the best service at the lowest possible cost is a core focus of this role.
  • Planning and organising yourself and others to be responsive and be able to adapt to customer requests quickly and effectively as well as driving consistent service delivery performance

The ideal candidate must possess
  • Leadership ability
  • Able to contribute to the development of the annual operational plan
  • Able to successfully partner with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and review teams performance and seek continual improvement
  • Ability to manage costs and deliver on KPI’s
  • Ability to follow through and deliver as required

  • An understanding of SHE and compliance standards.
  • Experience in Pest Control in a sales or operations management role where you have been leading a team successfully
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional leadership ability, with the ability to coach and motivate teams to exceed performance expectations.
  • A high-level of customer service skills, both external and internal.
  • Demonstrable and proven business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
