The role

Working as a Junior Technical Support at our Melbourne office and remotely, you will be responsible for completing initial technical diagnostics and focusing on the restoration of data and voice services, with available escalation points. This role requires an understanding of network fundamentals from both a routing and switching perspective. In addition, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills are essential.

This role comes with access to learning paths to further develop your technical skills in telecommunications technologies and hands-on experience with our products and services. You will learn and grow with our highly skilled telecommunication engineers and customer support professionals every single day.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like
  • Responsible for configuration and implementation of voice and data services such as equipment integration, remote installation, and testing as required
  • Respond to customer service desk cases and provide Level 1 support
  • Working in our technical service desk team with close collaboration with our provisioning, number porting, and customer success team
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and solve technical problems


Requirements
  • Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. certificate or bachelor in network engineering etc.)
  • General understanding of IT computer networks, internet technologies, router, switches, NAT, TCP, UDP, DNS – essential
  • Experience with SIP-based PBX Systems and equipment (Cisco, 3cx, Asterisk, Polycom, Yealink) - advantageous
  • Require a passion and drive for continuous learning
  • Enjoy talking to customers and providing exceptional customer service
