Our client, a global market leader in engineered heavy lifting and transport, is looking for a highly experienced Payroll Officer who is an expert with payroll systems to look after 160 plus workers.

The role will be fast-paced and requires a highly experienced individual with excellent attention to detail who is able to manage themselves in a busy work environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and manage the administration of the full payroll process for over 160 workers
  • Manage the system in terms of payroll and financial reporting
  • Prepare and check weekly and monthly payroll functions to ensure accuracy of contractor information
  • Process a high volume of timesheets
  • Ad hoc administration support where required
  • Coordinate with various line managers for the follow of timesheets
  • Ensure all correct allowances are entered in accordance with EBA and awards

To be considered for the role you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a payroll officer role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll practices and principles
  • High attention to detail (including accurate word processing and data entry skills)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
