Administration Officer/Bookkeeper – Part Time

Fabulous opportunity for a diverse role – do you know how to process accounts payable and payroll, can you see yourself updating social media, including updating a website, maintaining digital filing systems, updating manuals and other documents as well as performing a range of EA/PA tasks like managing appointments?

If so, then we have a great role for you! We are seeking an Administration Officer/Bookkeeper to join our client’s team working from their serviced office which is located in the Toowoomba CBD.

Our client is a family-owned agricultural enterprise that specialises in producing quality beef sustainably. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in being a part of their journey. In this role you will be working alongside our client’s Accountant and also in close conjunction with the Owners.

Position Details:

  • 20 hours per week, permanent part time hours to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
  • Potential for hours to increase hours in line with future business growth, no guarantees but a possibility!
  • Ability to do some work remotely for the right candidate.
  • Monday to Friday - no weekend work is generally required
  • Candidates must be very pleasant/warm, efficient, effective, have strong attention to detail and high accuracy
  • This role will suit candidates who have strong analytical skills; someone who genuinely enjoys administration, bookkeeping, compliance, policies and procedures!
  • Remuneration (salary, reasonable additional overtime is included) between $26 to $32 per hour plus super, dependent upon skills & experience
What Will I Need to Succeed?
  • Do you have Accounts & Payroll processing experience?
  • Do you have social media experience or the genuine desire to develop these skills?
  • Are you happy to give anything a go, willing to learn new skills?
  • Do you pride yourself on your attention to detail, have decent mathematics skills and are you a multitasker on a computer?
  • Do your significant other/s describe you as reliable, possess initiative, are a “can do” type of person who is well organised?
  • Are you well spoken, impeccably presented and quietly confident?
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Xero Accounting Software skills are desirable
  • Understanding of social media and / or the ability to develop this skill set along with the ability to update the web site
  • Minimum of 2 years’ accounts processing experience
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration / Certificate IV Bookkeeping or Diploma of Accounting
  • Well-developed Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills are critical to your success
