We are looking for an experienced OHS Officer who will work closely with management and staff to ensure a coordinated approach to the management of OHS risks.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Address OHS issues.
  • Identify, plan and implement OHS initiatives.
  • Implement organisational OHS policies and systems.
  • Promote and increase knowledge, understanding, commitment and compliance with relevant legislation and best practice in OHS.
  • Contribute to the development of communication strategies, OHS policies and maintain culture.

To be successful, you will possess:

  • Qualifications and experience in OHS within the residential construction industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and expertise in applying the OHS legislative framework.
  • Knowledge of hazard management principles.
  • Capacity to develop and communicate effective and practical solutions.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and issue resolution skills.
  • Developed analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret policy and legislation.
