The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Pathology Collector to join the team at Northern Health.

This role requires the collector to be technically competent and reliable, caring and compassionate. The role includes the collection of samples from patients including blood, urine, faeces and swabs, take delivery of samples and process them ready for pick-up by couriers. The role will also include some pre-analytical processing of blood and other samples for analysis.

Ensuring that the role is carried out in a manner that is consistent with the values, quality objectives, performance goals, delegations, policies, procedures, and operations of NPV and in line with the Northern Health “Code of Conduct”. The major duties and/or responsibilities and the Key Performance Indicators outline the scope of the position.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience and good working knowledge of Pathology Collection
A successfully completed Certificate 3 or 4 in pathology collection
Proven ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
Great time management
Current working with children’s check (employee)
An unencumbered drivers license
