Position Title: Administration Officer
Employment Type: Maximum Term, Full-Time (12 Months to commence 01 Sep 2021 - 30 Sep 2022)
Hours per week: 38 hours
Position Grade: Administration Officer Level 5
Salary: $66,954.50 - $68,549.07
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019

Position Summary:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Administration Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.

The successful applicant(s) will be expected to provide appropriate and comprehensive assessment to those clients accessing information about general health issues and specific community health and all of the integrated services in the O'Brien Centre.


The successful applicant will ensure accurate recording and security of any client record generated with skills in telephone assessments of a referral centre.

The successful applicant will be required to liaise effectively with all clinical staff within the Integrated Care teams.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of medical terminology
3. Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills and experience
4. Highly competent in use of MS Office software and patient information management databases:(Chime, CorePas, Web Delacey) with quick and accurate data entry skills
5. Proven aptitude in problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution
6. Demonstrated experience working in a busy service environment, excellent time management skills, flexibility in work practises and skilled in prioritising competing workloads
7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
8. Proven ability to support a team, with demonstrated experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve service delivery and outcomes
