Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting contract positions for a State Government Department project to start immediately.

Candidates will exhibit excellent communication skills both written and verbally and relevant external audit experience. You must be currently living in Adelaide with full working rights to be considered.

Reporting to the Audit manager, this role would undertake core audit tasks such as:

Drafting of audit findings for inclusion in management letters for review by supervising officer
Analytic review and identification of recommendations
Financial statement verification
Support and promote strategies designed to improve Departmental operations
Ideally understands the context of the South Australian public sector
Awareness, understanding and support the statutory responsibilities of the Auditor-General and the corporate objectives and values of the Department.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
Communication of audit findings in exit interviews with client management

To be considered for this role, you would possess the following attributes:

Tertiary qualifications in this field
A current Police Clearance
Legislation interpretation
Accounting and auditing standards and practices
Basic understanding of government accountability frameworks
