Full Job Description
We welcome Team Leaders with experience in the steel industry to work with a global manufacturer of reo steel.

The Team Leader is responsible to direct the activity of their team, planning their work to meet daily and weekly production goals. The Team Leader is to ensure that all safety, quantity, housekeeping standards are met and ensure that their teams are satisfying all reliability and quality standards determined by quality procedures.

Your responsibilities can include:
Work with supervisor and other team leaders to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.

MUST work with co-Team leaders / Supervisors ensuring co-operation within shifts and other shifts.

Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.

Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work environment.

Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labour to the Production Supervisor.

Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Maintenance, Supervisor, Production manager to resolve issues.

Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.

Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with operators and Supervisor.

Participate as an active member of the production team.

Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company's Quality and safety System.

Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures

Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

What we expect from you:
Experience in a similar role managing a small team
Able to work extended hours when required.
Demonstrates effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative and experienced judgment.
Achieving and maintaining production efficiency and, most importantly, an unwavering dedication to safety as well as the quality of the product produced.
A Valid Forklift License would be beneficial.
