Full Job Description
This reputable client has a huge national presence in 3PL, retail stock, logistics and air freight. They are looking for a strong Quality/WHS support to manager and look after their 5 sites.
The right person will have great attention to detail, excellent and personable communication skills and take initiative.
The main responsibilities for this position are to assist the National QSHE Manager in monitoring and administering the QSHE function, which includes recording, collating, reporting, auditing, analysing and distributing information for the 5 Melbourne sites and other states as required.
To ensure that the company is complying with legislative requirements in relation to Quality, Safety, Health, Environment and Security
Reporting to the National QSHE Manager your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Implementing OH&S policies and procedures
  • Manage and monitor the OH&S onsite to ensure correct procedures and policies are being followed
  • Identifying any potential hazards, assessing risks and determining appropriate risk control measures
  • Keep up to date with current legislation, trends and changes
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees and contractors onsite
  • Liaise with National QSHE Manager on a regular basis to ensure all Health and safety procedures are carried out correctly and accordingly
  • Conduct regular safety site checks and Toolbox talks
  • Other related duties as required
Prior experience working within a similar WHS generalist position will be highly regarded.

To be considered for this position you must possess the following;
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and be quick to think on your feet
  • You must follow all current legislation and be effective with minimizing and eliminating potential risks
  • Must display excellent face to face communication ability and be highly personable
  • Have prior experience in a similar role minimum 3-5 years working experience
  • Must have a qualification in WHS as 'safety comes first'
