Located at our Melbourne Burwood Campus and in the Melbourne CBD
Level A $70,293-$94,497 p.a + 17% superannuation (pro-rata)
1.0 FTE and fixed-term for 12 months

An opportunity has arisen for an appropriately qualified and experienced Research Fellow to join the Department of Marketing to support and be involved in completing a research project commissioned by AusNet Services on commercial energy solutions and offerings and to examine ways to enhance consumer interest in, and uptake of, new forms of renewable energy systems.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and research record.

Key responsibilities will include:
Initiate and conduct research under supervision either as a member of a team, or independently (where appropriate), to achieve the objectives of the research project
Design and conduct research to produce or contribute to the research project and provide administrative and technical support, where required
Promote research links and cooperation with outside bodies as appropriate to the research project
Contribute to building an active research record
Prepare findings for oral and written communication including publications and the generation of external research income
Effectively manage data, maintain data protocols, collection, data analysis and drafting of reports and publications as required by the research project
Attend meetings associated with the research project
Constructively contribute to a vibrant research team, including participating with colleagues in developing research and maintaining links and partnerships with industry and the wider community

To be successful, you will have:
A relevant doctoral qualification (or near completion of PhD) or equivalent qualification with subsequent research expertise and profile.
Skills in the coordination of data collection, data entry and analysis.
An ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
An ability to plan and conduct high quality research.
Demonstrated organisational skills including the demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of research-related data record keeping and a demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines.
An ability to liaise with (and or negotiate with) research clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact well with research and technical staff and students and excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
